Mesh Voxelizer

Here you can see a few examples of voxelized geometry. The source polygon meshes were not created in order to be voxelized. The voxelizer is robust and fast and it can voxelize almost any mesh, although meshes with errors (holes, etc.) usually cannot be voxelized without flaws.

The scene with the dragon consists of over 5 billion voxels. The whole dragon consists of something below 1GV. The source mesh has almost 7 million polygons.

The tank below consists of something between 1GV and 2GV. Both the dragon and tank scenes were provided by CMPMVS.

The vehicle on the images below is a voxelized low poly model by Nikolay Nikolov. The vehicle on the right side on the first image is the original polygon mesh, the one on the left is a hi-res voxel-based model. The voxelized versions on the first and the third images were voxelized with a less robust approach, therefore the voxelizer left some flaws undetected. The low-res one on the third image is a reduced version of the hi-res model. The voxelized models cannot move, yet.

I am currently a bit overloaded with new data so it will take me a while to show some little more geometry. I'm also preparing the next large generated scene and this time it should be packed with more hand-made objects, too.

Stay tuned and .. Share, Like and RT. This way you can help me keeping this project alive!
